What's new on our website!

If you’ve visited the San Luis Obispo Police Department Website recently, you probably noticed that we recently have our splash page a facelift. We’ve added large buttons that link to important information so it is easy to locate and access. Here are some notable links:

  • Facebook: We now have our own SLO Police Department Facebook page! Check it out for the latest happenings.
  • New Unruly Gathering Ordinance: Take a look at an important new City ordinance to address large and unruly parties in our City neighborhoods.
  • On-Line Reporting: Do you need to a non-violent incident but don’t need an officer to respond right away? You can report certain crimes and incidents on-line, including harassing phone calls, lost property, thefts under $400, and vandalisms under $400.
  • Traffic Safety Information: Check out our Traffic Safety link to learn about our program, traffic-related grants, or to report an on-going traffic problem.
  • Neighborhood Blight Reporting: Use our convenient on-line reporting tool to report abandoned vehicles, unsightly yards, furniture or vehicles on lawns and similar problems that affect the quality of life in our neighborhoods.
  • Annual Report: Read about the activities of your Police Department, and pertinent crime and call statistics, in our Annual Report. The report is now produced almost exclusively as an electronic document in order to reduce our paper consumption and lesson our impact on the environment.

Other links take you to important information about Identify Theft, our DARE program, and our Daily Police Log. And thanks to a partnership with The Tribune, the Crime Mapping link takes you to The Tribune’s crime mapping page, providing us a cost effective method to inform our community members about crimes occurring on our City.

We’re always looking for suggestions about what else to include on our Website, so please feel free to us the Contact Us link on our website to send an email to the Police Department with your suggestions and comments.

As always, be smart, be prepared, and be safe!
